Math 398 - Game & Voting Theory - Spring 2002

Guidelines for Submitting Reading Assignments

  • You will have a Reading Assignment due at noon almost every Monday and Wednesday during the semester. The assignments will consist of one or two sections from the texts to read, and you should email me the following information:
    1. A list of new terminology introduced in the section - you do not need to include the definitions
    2. A two or three sentence description of the major results and/or main point of the reading. This will obviously not be a complete encapsulation of the entire reading, but it should get to the major idea.
  • You will receive either 0 or 1 on each assignment. If I feel that you have not made a serious effort on an assignment, I'll warn you that you will receive no credit on future assignments that are unsatisfactory.
  • Remember that my email address is tratliff@wheatoncollege.edu
  • In order to receive credit, you must give your message the subject line
Math 398 - Due Date - Your Name
For example, for the reading assignment for February 1, I would use the subject line
    Math 398 2/1 Tommy Ratliff
  • You should send me email from your account, since you will receive an automatic reply that I have received your reading assignment, if you used the correct subject line. You may not get this message until the morning of class when I check my email in my office.
  • If the network is down, you may write out your answers for me on paper and turn it in at the beginning of class.
