Installing Maple on Your Personal Macintosh

We will use Maple, a powerful computer algebra and graphing package, extensively during the semester. Wheaton owns a license for Maple V Release 5, and it is available for Macintosh machines through the campus network. Maple is located on the AC Software Server in the Math/Stats folder. For information on downloading software, see the ResNet page on Accessing AC Software server.

After you have copied the Maple V Release 5 folder onto your hard drive, look for a folder called Put Contents into Exten. Folder. Select everything in this folder, and drag it to the Extensions folder in your System folder.

If you have not run keyed software on your machine before, you will also need to see the ResNet page for Using Keyed Software.
